Boxtroll's Junkpile

A young orphaned boy raised by underground cave-dwelling trash collectors tries to save his friends from an evil exterminator. The 2014 Laika stop motion film The Boxtrolls is based on the children's novel “Here Be Monsters” by Alan Snow. This is a simple screen-used prop of a pile of junk collected by the Boxtrolls from the trash during one of their nocturnal excursions. The level of detail featured here underscores the sheer beauty of this film being entirely handmade and hand-painted, measuring approximately 12" x 10".
