Xenomorph Egg
During an archaeological expedition in Antarctica, a team of archaeologists and other scientists find themselves caught up in a battle between the two legends. Soon, the team realizes that only one species can win. This is a screen used Xenomorph Egg used in the 2004 film, Alien vs. Predator and was made by the talented team at ADI Studios. The Xenomorph Egg is a capsule containing a Facehugger are produced and laid by a Queen and generally considered to be the first stage in the life cycle of the Xenomorph species. Xenomorph Eggs by themselves are seemingly inert and are often dismissed as nothing more than lifeless vessels simply designed to contain the Facehugger. They also possess the ability to "sense" or otherwise detect when a potential host creature approaches, at which point four "petals" at the top of the Egg open up and the Facehugger within launches itself at the nearby victim. This particular egg is displayed on a custom themed base to appear as the egg has attached itself to the environment by it’s “roots”.
