Vial of Green Goo
Soviet generals give a group of scientists a year to develop technology to force open a portal to the Upside Down. From season 3 of the Netflix hit series Stranger Things, this is a hero screen matched vial of the green goo like fuel that can be seen in multiple scenes of the show. One scene includes Steve retrieving the ominous vial of green goo as they are infiltrating the Russian base. Then Dustin mentions that the green goo found in the containers might be a power source similar to Promethium, which in DC Comics Victor Stone used to create the bionic components of Teen Titans (and later Justice League and Doom Patrol) member Cyborg. The Russians are ultimately trying to open the Upside Down and are using the strange green goo. It was later pointed as a reference that the mysterious containers the Russians are keeping open were the same way as the power cells on the Nostromo in Alien and have a strong resemblance to the canisters of mutagen that brought the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles to life. This vial was the only one used and seen on camera, all others were added into the scenes digitally.
